Indomitable Lions arrive South Africa for Malawi Showdown

Thursday, November 11, 2021 – the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have arrived in Johannesburg for their fifth round FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Flames of Malawi.

Coach António Conceiçao and his team touched down the Tambo Airport in the wee hours of Wednesday and immediately moved to their base.

The team is lodged at the five star Hilton Sandton Hotel which is a few minutes away from the game’s venue.

The game is scheduled for 2pm (Cameroon Time) on Saturday, November 13, at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg but before then the Lions will hold daily practice sessions.

The Lions are keen on reaching the World Cup qualifiers play-offs. Captain Vincent Aboubakar and his mates can achieve that with a victory against Malawi and Ivory Coast on Tuesday, November 16 in Douala-Cameroon, at the Japoma Omnisport Stadium.

Our squad for the Malawi fixture:

Goalkeepers: Omossola Simon, Epassy Devis, Onana André, Efala Komguep Jean

Defenders: Mbaizo Olivier, Ngadeu Michael, Fai Collins, Oyongo Bitolo Ambroise, Jerome Onguene, Tchamba Duplex, Nouhou Tolo and Billong Jean Claude.

Midfielders: Billong Jean Claude, Kunde Malong, Zambo Anguissa, Oum Gouet Samuel, Hongla Martin and Jean Onana.

Forwards: Vincent Aboubakar, Ganago Ignatius, Bassogog Christian, Bahoken Stephane, Toko Ekambi Karl, Moumi Ngamaleu and Tawamba Kana
