Madeleine Ngono Mani, undisputed female top goal scorer

Born on October 16, 1983 in Mva’a, Cameroon, Madeleine Michele Ngono Mani is a Cameroonian football striker currently playing for Ambility FC, France and for the Cameroonian National team.

Better known for her goal scoring abilities, Madeleine Ngono Mani got to the National team in 2002 and participated in the world cup qualifier against South Africa.

In the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom, she played all three matches of the group stage of the women’s football tournament.

She played a key role in Cameroon’s campaign in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, scoring a header to complete a comeback win against Switzerland, as well as scoring in the 6–0 rout of Ecuador.

Talking about her career in clubs, Ngono Mani started with Lorema FC and Canon of Yaounde. She later joined RC Saint-Etienne in 2003. She continued with ASJ Soyaux and became one of their leading goal scorers in the second division.

The professional player later joined FCF Monteux, then Guingamp, Claix, FC Minsk, Aurillac Arpajon and Ambility.

Reported to face some health issues, the Cameroonian top goal scorer will play her second, and maybe last world cup with the National team.
