Claudine Meffometou, relentless defender
Due to her dreadful efficiency and consistency during the 2018 AFCON in Ghana, Meffometou was described by some as the best Cameroonian player, making use of her lioness’ fighting spirit.
Claudine Falonne Meffometou Tcheno was born in July 1, 1990 in Lafe-Bafang, Cameroon. She is a Cameroonian football defender who plays for Guingamp of Division I and for the Cameroon women’s football team.
Claudine began playing for Franck Rhollicek of Douala then Zvezda 2005 in Russia. In 2011, she joined Cameroon Fem club, then ZFK Spartak Subotica. From 2015 to 2017, Claudine joined Arras FC club, France.
From 2017 till date, she has been playing for En Avant of Guingamp, France.
She has played in the 2012 African Championship and the 2016, 2018 AFCONs with Cameroon.
As concerns competitions played out of Africa, Claudine represented her country Cameroon at the 2012 London Olympics and the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. This year again, she is part of the squad that will play for the green red yellow in France.
