Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualifiers : Cameroon to Clash With Ethiopia/ Uganda in Round Two

Cameroon will be looking to add to their one and only appearance in the Olympic village so far by picking up another ticket to Tokyo where the 2020 Olympic Games will take place.

CAF has recently released the fixtures for the first qualifying rounds of the competition and Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Equatorial Guinea have been drawn bye only to enter the Qualifiers when the second round begins in September 2019.

25 nations will be involved in the qualifiers with tough round one fixtures like Mali Versus Morocco, Zambia vs Angola Amongst others.

The full round one fixture will be played in April on home and away situation with the first leg ties to be played between April 1 – 9.

In the second round of the Qualifiers, South Africa clash winners of Botswana/Namibia, while winners between Cote d’Ivoire/Sierra Leone will face winners between Mali/Morocco, and winners from Algeria/Chad tie will confront the African Champions, Nigeria. The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will clash the winners between Ethiopia/Uganda.

 Third round qualifiers matches will be played October 2019 to get Africa’s representative for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
