Four players who featured for Cameroon during the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) played earlier this year have been called up to the senior national team as Cameroon prepares for two 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in the coming weeks.

Indomitable Lions trainer Antonio Conceiçao made public a revised list of players on Thursday March 18, 2021 featuring CHAN team-Cameroon defender and two goals scorer Banga Bindjeme II Salomon from Cotonsport of Garoua, CHAN two times Man of the Match winner Ako Assomo Martin of AS Fortuna, attacker Man Ykre Ngnowa of Colombe FC and goalkeeper Haschou Kerrido of PWD of Bamenda who kept goal in all six CHAN games.

“I am happy like any player who can be invited to the senior national team. This is an honour for me and footballers who ply their trade in the country. It is the first invitation, I will not disappoint the coach and Cameroon.” Banga Bindjeme II Salomon reacted..

The four men all playing the Elite One Professional championship will join 22 others from abroad in preparations for the double qualifier against Cape Verde and Rwanda on March 26 and 30 respectively.
