Indomitable lions defeat Guinea Bissau 2-0 in Afcon opener

Cameroon’s Indomitable lions have confirmed their supremacy by beating Guinea Bissau two goals to nil in Group F Afcon opener this Tuesday evening at the Ismailia Stadium in Egypt.

2 second half goals from Yaya Banana at the 65’ and Stephane Bahoken at the 70’ sealed Cameroon’s win against Guinea Bissau in this ongoing African Cup of Nations.

Though Cameroon dominated the match all through, the first half was a rather difficult one for both teams.
In between indecisive passes from Christian Bassogog which hardly got expected finishes and some rare good chances spoiled by Guinea Bissau, Both teams went to the second half on a 0 draw.

Upon resuming, Cameroon kept on mounting pressure on Guinea Bissau which paid off at the 65’ with Yaya Banana neting in the first goal.
Cameroonians were yet to rejoice of this first goal that Stephane Bahoken upon taking to the pitch benefitted from a defense error on the Guinean side to score a second goal for Cameroon.
From there, Cameroon conserved her lead till the end of the game, there by winning her first match in a competition after 2002.
