Congo friendly Tournament: Intermediate Lions Doctor assures on players health

Dr Ndengue Samuel lead medical staff for the Intermediate Lions has assured that all players currently in camp ahead of the international friendly Match pitting Cameroon against DR Congo are all in good health

He was speaking Saturday evening in Kintele Republic of Congo during a reunion between government representatives, the technical staff as well as aspiring players of the Intermediate Lions.

“We have an encounter tomorrow and to us (medical staff) we are taking it as a major encounter towards the CHAN. We have put in a series of preparatory activities and dispositions with focus on diet, athletic fitness and recovery. We follow every player individually to ensure that they are fit for the fixture.” Dr Ndengue said

He noted that his very experienced and efficient group of two physiotherapists (Zagaba and Essomba) have been following the players closely and “I can assure you there is no issue to worry about in the domain of health” he said

Government representatives as well as the representative of the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT during the reunion encouraged the home based Lions not to take any thing for granted but concentrate on winning the friendly game.

Speaking on behalf of his teammates, Mark Ojong thanked government and the federation for ensuring that they were in good condition as they prepared for CHAN 2020 to be played on home soil. He expressed their determination to be a historic generation for Cameroon.

Cameroon and DRC will clash at 3:30pm.local time in a friendly at the Unity stadium in the Concord Sports complex in Kintele Republic of Congo.
