CHAN 2021: Lions set for three preparatory fixtures
Intermediate Lions Coach Yves Clement Arroga A says his team is set for the three preparatory fixtures lined up in the coming days. Speaking to www.fecafoot-officiel.com, the trainer said the matches are of capital importance as the team finetunes preparations for the African Nations Championship CHAN to take place in Cameroon early next year.
“The friendly matches are to permit us know the players we have in the team better. This will help us know who we can keep and those we cannot keep. They are preparatory matches so we will want to win in the best ways possible because we must build the fighting and winning spirit now.” Arroga said
The preselected Lions are in their second post COVID-19 break training camp with three friendlies on schedule. The will face off with top tier side Panthere du Nde on Wednesday October 7, 2020 at Annex Omnisport Stadium in Yaounde.
Arroga and his boys will then clash with the South Sudanese side on a two leg friendly on Saturday 10 and Tueaday 13, October 2020 in the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
The current training camp is programmed from October 5 to 18, 2020. 30 players are in camp including Man Ykre Dangmo from Colombe FC and Ndeh Collins from PWD Bamenda both on a maiden call to the amateur national tesm. Ebene Makouta of Djiko FC de Bandjoun and Houzaifi Yousoufa of Cotonsport de Garoua returns to the group after a short abscence.
Three goal keepers, nine defenders, 15 offensive and defensive midfielders and three center forwards constitutes Yves Clement Arroga’s choice of players in camp.
