CHAN 2020: Intermediate Lions begin Second Phase preselection Training camp Monday December 9
Players preselected for the Intermediate Lions will arrive in Yaounde this Monday December 9, to begin the second preselection training camp ahead of the Total African Nations Championship Cameroon 2020.
This camping date to run till December 23rd was revealed by the team’s coach Yves Clement Arroga as he made public the list of 35 players expected for the training camp.
The list which contains ten names from the first preselection training camp that held from November 18 to December 1, in Yaounde was made public on Wednesday December 4, 2019.
The players retained for the second preselection training camp include Samuel Nlend forward for Union of Douala, Odjong Nkongho, Rene Ndi and Ulrich Lobe Midfielders for Bamboutos of Mbouda , Serges Andoulou defender for Union of Douala, Canon’s full back Ngede Ngede Junior, Epane Epane and Alladoum Kolimba short stoppers for Stade Renard and Racing of Bafoussam respectively, Eding SA’s defender Bong Stephane and Job Lidjob of Colombe.
The new list features some well-known names in the country’s top tier like Gregoire NKama of Tonnerre Yaounde, Etta Bawak Thomas of Coton Sport of Garoua as well as second and third tier maestros like Nathaniel Mangolo from Olympique de Mvangan, Lamine Abdoul of Ngaoundere FC.
The Team will be training at the Omnisport Annex II stadium twice a day.
Coach Yves Clement Arroga has explained that he intends to organise not fewer than four preselection training camps before settling for the final list in February 2020 ahead of the African Nations Championship CHAN Cameroon 2020 which starts on April 4, 2019.
