The coach of Cameroon’s National Women’s football team says they are ready for the second leg qualifier match against Ethiopia in Yaoundé. Alian Djeumfa was speaking in Yaoundé Monday September 2 during a pre-match news conference ahead of Tuesday’s return leg match.

Admitting that Ethiopia is a team he knows fairly well, the trainer announced that he had made some modifications to the team that played the away leg by bringing in four new players. He considers the coming of FIFA Puskas nominee 2019 Ajara Nchout Njoya, Falone Meffoumettou, Ejangue Sidiki and Grace Yango as the change that will overpower the offensive Ethiopian team in Cameroon. The coach notes that he will make the difference by managing the pressure on him particularly at home.

Ajara Nchout Njoya who accompanied the coach at the press conference notes that she has come to play for the national colours and “can’t disgrace the national Jersey.” Though not selected amongst the top three for the FIFA Puskas Ajara says this cannot dampen her spirit because according to her “being amongst the ten nominees was already victory.”

Being a combination of home and foreign based players, coach Alain Djeumfa told the press that he knows the players very well and the value of each one of them. Corroborating Ajara Nchout said they have been working on cohesion to ensure coherrance during tomorrow’s game.

Cameroon played a 1-1 tie with Ethiopia during the away leg game to setup the must win encounter in Yaoundé.

The match begins at 3:30pm local time at the Omnisport stadium.
