Ngoundere FC keeps League Two hopes alive ahead of last game
Ngoundere FC have kept hopes of qualifying for the League Two Championship after an emphatic 2-0 win against Olympic de Biwong Bane Friday August 30.
The boys of coach Oumarou SANDA kept firm control of the match till the last minute of the first half when Jocelyn Romy beat goal keeper Alexis Deschanel of Olympic de Biwong with a close range shot on target to register the first goal.
The Adamawa representative will continue their quest for a victory with a 51st minute goal by Mousa Abdoulaye Babba that will be the last goal of the match.
“” I am so happy today because my team played well. We fight during every match to get a victory. We take every match like it presents itself! That is one after another. We will prepare Volcan du Noun like we prepared other matches. As I said we are done with today’s match and now we look forward to Sunday. Seriously I don’t want to leave this competition even with a draw.” Coach Oumarou SANDA told the FECAFOOT media team.
Corroborating, Ngaleba Ndongo midfielder with Ngoundere FC admits that the late completion of the Adamawa regional league has helped a great deal in keeping the players fit. “That is why you see the team play so well. They are young and talented players. We are preparing to play Volcan that had issues but you know it is a team like others. It is not a team to neglect! we have seen them play developing the ball very well. We will give our all to make sure we emerge leaders of the group.
Ngoundere FC totals 6pts gathered from wins against AS Dibamba and Olympic de Biwong Bane with a 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.
Oumarou SANDA and his team will play a Pool A leadership deciding match on Sunday September 1.
