“It was an opportunity to learn” Olympic de Biwong officials say as team bows out

Officials of Olympic de Biwong Bane have described their participation at this years National Inter-pool as a “learning opportunity.” Speaking to the FECAFOOT media team after a 2-0 defeat by Ngoundere FC August 30 and their elimination from the tournament, the Secretary General of the team Nna Nlom Florian described his team as young.

“As you can see we are the undisputed youngest team of the competition. The players were naive and the preparations were not the best. Next year we will come back with the same objectives because what we have gathered as experience will help us during the next season and we will use that to prepare.” He said

The team coach Ondoua Eder had earlier made a similar declaration after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Ngoundere FC saying that the team was a young academy less than three years old.

The representatives of the South Region become the first team to pack their bags out of Bertoua after loosing all three games. They lost the opening game against AS Dibamba 2-0, lost the second to Volcan du Noun before the third against Ngoundere FC Friday August 30.

The leave the competition with no point -6goals.
