Elite Two Play-offs: Gazelle and Rangers Off To A Flying Start

Gazelle FA and Rangers of Bafut are off to a flying start at this year’s play-offs seeking the three clubs deserving of promotion to professional league two.

The competition features ten clubs from the ten regions of Cameroon, further grouped in three. Pool A is lodged in Limbe and pools B and C in West regional chief town Bafoussam.

On Sunday 19 September, Gazelle, representatives of the North region of Cameroon, outplayed their eastern counterparts CPS de Bertoua 2-0. Gazelle’s goals were netted by Moustapha and Souley.

In a similar fashion, goals from Edjob Elvis and Ledwin Anuna played the trick for North West side Bafut Rangers over Riziere FC of the West region.
As a result, Gazelle and Rangers top pools B and C respectively.

When the deciders were being officially launched on Saturday, Les Amis de Ngaoundéré came from a goal down to defeat Ecole de Football Brasseries de Douala (EFBC) 2-1, while AS Lausanne d’Anguissa eased past Kohi de Maroua 2-0.
