National Youth championship finals gets underway

The 2020-2021 national youth championship finals have been launched in the cities of Limbe and Douala respectively.

Tuesday, July 20, 2021 marked the beginning of the final phase of this season’s Under-15 and Under-17 National Youth Championship with 10 regional championships in each category competing.

The opening day for the event for over 360 footballers from across the country ended with victories for the Under-17s of Sahel Maroua, OBB, AS Milet and Social FC.

In Douala where the Under-15s are lodged, Cotonsport, Sims FC, EFBC and Emergence emerged victorious in their games.

The games played at the Kadji Sports Academy, the Centenary and Middle Farms Stadiums in Limbe has attracted a number of football stakeholders including national trainers.

The lead trainers of our Under-17 and Under-20 national selections Anicet Mbarga Foe and Christophe Ousmanou respectively were in Limbe and Douala on Tuesday to detect talents for the future.

At the end of match-day one, the footballers moved to their base in Limbe and Douala but are expected to be back on the green turf for more football action this Wednesday.
