Stepehen Tataw laid to rest

The former captain of the National football team; The Indomitable Lions has been laid to rest. The government, the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT, the family and mourners bid farewell to Stephen Etta Tataw on Saturday August 29, 2020 in Yaounde.

The Burial in Mvolye followed a two day elaborate event organised by FECAFOOT beginingfrom the Central Hospital mortuary in Yaounde, a tour of the capital city and an all night wake keep and a requiem mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Yaounde His Grace Jean Mbarga at the Multipurpose Sport Complex.

In an emotionally compelling tribute, the President of FECAFOOT Seidou Mbombo Njoya described the deceased who was in charge of monitoring National Teams at the football national technical directorate as a hard worker and a friendly person who cherished national pride. He expressed FECAFOOT’s readiness to continue implementing his projects in collaboration with former indomitable lions. Workers of the federation then crowned the president’s tribute with the laying of a rose each as they beat farewell to their colleague.

The Personal Adviser to the President of the African Football Confederation CAF Samuel Eto’o fils represented the President.

Sports and physical education minister Prof Narcisse Mouelle Kombi on behalf of the President of the Republic decorated Tataw Stephen posthumously with the National Order of Valor medal.
