Yvonne Leuko, the alert defender
Ever since she began her football career, Yvonne is amongst the few football players who played for French clubs almost all through. The central defender is part of the squad which is en route to France
Yvonne Patrice Leuko Chibosso was born on the 21st of November 1991 in Kekem, Cameroon. She is a Cameroonian football defender currently playing for Strasburg France.
She began her career as a junior, the senior with Justice FC club of Douala. Once her club is promoted, Leuko decides to continue her career in France, where football is more structured.
As such, she joins the Montigny-le-Bretonneux Sport Association for the 2008/2009 season, 2009/2010 and then 2011/2012 seasons. She later on moves to Rouen FC.
From 2012 to 2017, she joins Arras FC that plays in Division 1 and II according to years. 2018/2019 she joined ASPTT Albi.
Meantime, Yvonne continued with her studies and today is a holder of a Bachelor in Administration and Commercial management.
Yvonne Leuko joined the Cameroon women’s football team in 2008 under Carl Enow Ngachu. She was selected to represent Cameroon at the 2012 Olympic Games. She was equally part of the squad that went to Canada in 2015 for the world cup.
This year once more, she is en route to France for the 2019 Women’s world cup in France slated to begin on June 7.
