Indomitable lionesses suffer 0-1 defeat against Canada in opening match

The indomitable lionesses have lost their opening match at the ongoing FIFA women’s world cup by 0 goal to 1 against Canada Monday evening at the starde de la Mosson in Montpellier, France.
The goal came at the end of the 1st half by Buchanan who benefitted from a moment of inattention from Cameroon’s defence to score.
Though they were defeated in their first game, the lionesses still have chances to qualify for the second round of the competition.

This Tuesday, they will leave Montpellier for the town of Valenciennes where they will play Netherlands in their second match on June 15.

If the lionesses intend to continue the competition, they will have to double efforts in order to overpower the Netherlands and reposition themselves on a good note.
