CAF CC: Coton Sport Knock Out Title Holders Berkane

Coton Sport of Garoua today defeated Moroccan club RS Berkane to claim an important victory in the group stage of the ongoing Caf Confederation Cup.

Playing at home in Garoua, Coton waited until the second half to make the difference. Substitute Marou Souaibou struck the curtain raiser at the 54th minute, before Sibiri Arnaud nudged in another at the 72nd minute, to finish off an impeccable performance.

Coach Souleymanou Aboubakar’s team dominated the encounter, and finally pulled off a clean sheet thanks to incredible goalkeeping by Narcisse Nlend Junior.

Coton Sport are second in Group B, one point adrift of JS Kabylie. The Algerians drew 2-2 a away to NAPSA Stars in Zambia.

There is no rest for Coton as they travel from the North region to the West, to face Panthère of Nde at the weekend in the domestic league.

Their next CAF Confederation Cup game will be against NAPSA Stars, in the first week of April in Lusaka.
