The U17 Lions had a training session early on wednesday. After that they moved to the Limbe Omnisports Stadium for the last day of play of the TotalEnergies U17 AFCON, Algeria 2023-UNIFFAC Zonal Qualifiers.

The game of the day pitted The REPUBLIC OF CONGO to the CENTRAL AFRICA REPUBLIC.

After 90 minutes of play, Congo beat Central Africa REPUBLIC 3 goals to 0. This match was preceeded by a prize award ceremony where Cameroon and Congo emerged champion and vice champion respectively thereby picking up the 2 available tickets for the AFCON U17, Algeria 2023 from the UNIFFAC Zone.

Our striker Dorinel Yondjo Matah was crowned most valuable player and the Top scorer of the tournament.
