Aigle Royal of Moungo have added a bonus to their qualification to next year’s MTN Elite 2, with a victory over Victoria United on post match penalties, at the Centenary stadium.

The Limbe public answered present in a jam-packed Centenary stadium, craving for the silverware, at least, for bragging rights as the two sides  already did the essential with qualification to Elite Two.

Just like in their last encounter in group B where  the game ended zero-all, the final was indifferent, with perhaps more stakes and created chances.

Goalkeeper Martin Sone made two saves as he parried the efforts’ of Christian Tejion and Mbeng Joel to end it 4-1 on penalties, in favour of Aigle.

Ahmadou Bello subsequently won the man of the match award, before FECAFOOT’s presentative – and former Indomitable Lions play maker, Maboang Emmanuel Kesseck and the SDO for Fako handed the Littoral champions the trophy.

The game took place in a wonderful atmosphere with a warm audience.
