The U-20 Lions were at the peak of their powers, showcasing their skills hunger and mental strength to secure a second successive victory in the tournament.

Adrien Mfoumou put Cameroon ahead in a one sided first half before Angel Yondjo swept home the second following a spell of pressure after the break.Djibrin Harouna added the third to put the result beyond doubt.

Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, coach Yvan Kenmoe hailed the performance of the team.

” It is not only topping the group but the team has put up a respectable performance,  dominating games,’ said coach Kenmoe.

” We are taking it game-by-game going into the semi-final against the Democratic Republic of Congo,’ he also said.

He expressed belief that the U-20 Lions can beat any team at their best.

Unbeaten Cameroon finished top of Group B with 6 points. Central African Republic secured 2nd spot while Gabon  ended third in the group.
