The Intermediate Indomitable lions of Cameroon have beaten the Warriors of Zimbabwe 1-0 in the opening match of the Total African Nations Championship CHAN 2020 in Yaoundé.

Center back defender Banga Bindjeme scored the winner for Cameroon at the 71st minute.

Cameroon now goes top of group A with 3pts.

“I am happy we were able to win the opening game which as you all know is always difficult. Zimbabwe plays good football which they did today and I must congratulate the coach for such great work.” Coach Ndtoungou Martin M said at the press conference.

Cameroon shall play the second game on Wednesday January 20, 2021 against the eagles of Mali in Yaoundé.
