Road to CHAN 2020: “Our stay in Douala has been beneficial.” Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile

The Coach of the Intermediate Lions has described his team’s brief stay in Cameroon’s economic capital city Douala as “beneficial.” Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile made the remark at the end of a four day stay in the city that permitted him to play two friendly matches against what he described as “well structured elite one sides.”

According to the trainer, the two mtches played between Stade Renard of Melong (0-1) and UMS of Loum (0-0) offered him and his collaborators an opportunity to reevaluate the team and make necessary adjustments.

Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile is confident of his group and says those to represent Cameroon during the African Nations Championship CHAN schedulled from January 16, 2021 are already in place but that does not however prevents any possible modification looking at the January 6, 2021 CAF deadline for the submission of the final list.

The Intermediate Lions leaave Douala with a point on a possible six for Yaounde where they will face Uganda, Zambia and Niger in a pre-CHAN four nation tournament.

The Coach has invited Cameroonians to remain supportive and carry the same victory mission which has been confered to him and his team.
