CHAN 2020: Lions Coach lays out last camp guidelines

Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile used a meeting during the early hours of Monday December 21, 2020 to address the 33 players called for the last training camp scheduled to run till the start of the competition on January 16, 2021 in Yaounde.

“You are representing the entire Cameroonian people and so during this last training camp, seriousness, hardwork, discipline and willingness to learn must be your guide.” Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile said

While presenting the plan for the training camp, the gaffer highlighted training sessions, evaluation matches and the pre-CHAN tournament as key activities which he said must be engaged with all commitment and determination.

“We have about five evaluation matches and the pre-CHAN international tournament. They must be taken very seriously. You must all adhere to work advice and be driven by the winning spirit because I want to see you win this trophy on February 7, 2021. This is very important for Cameroon and for your resepctive careers.” The coach added.

Second deputy trainer David Pagou corroborated the coach adding that team work, love for one another and victory is capital for the success of the team.

New comers have pledged thier readiness and willingness to defend the country.

The new group has trained for the first time during the just opened training camp at the CAF excellence center in Mbankomo in the presence of Serge Noah Director of FECAFOOT’s National Technical Directorate.
