Intermediate Lions lose 0-1 to Panthere du Nde

The Intermediate Lions have lost 0-1 to Panthere du Nde in a preparatory game for the African Nations championship CHAN.

Playing at the Annex Omnisport Stadium in Yaounde on Wednesday October 7, 2020, the boys of Coach Yves Clement Arroga A failed to pull back a goal Panthere du Nde secured at the 34th through Cédric Mbarga.

The Lions were reduced to ten at the 54th minute when Ndeh Collins was red carded after an anti sporting tackle on a Panthere player.

Five substitutions in the Intermediate Lions side changed the speed and ball control but did not produce an equaliser.

Coach Arroga has told the press that the game was good as it permitted him to have a closer look at some of the players he has preselected as part of building a CHAN squad. He is however not happy with defeat but admits it will motivate him and his players to work more.

The Intermediate Lions will face South Sudan on Saturday October 10, 2020 at the Amadou Ahidjo stadium in another preparatory fixture. The Lions gaffer has promised to face the game with all seriousness so he continues to build a team to represent Cameroon during the CHAN competition early next year.
