Canon girls begin Women’s League with 5-2 win against Vision Sport FC
Canon Football Girls of Yaounde have kicked off their Women’s League One Campaign for the 2019-2020 football season with an emphatic 5-2 win against Vision Sport FC of Bamenda.
Playing in the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium Friday October 18, during the official opening of the season, the ladies of Coach Athanase Nguemba Oloa made their intention to win the game known as early as the 7th minute when Raissa Nanga EBOLO opened score. Teammate Berthe Reiette Abega will get the second at the 13th minute before Raissa returned again at the 19th with the 3rd.
Before the first half break, Akwe Cleris Ngeh at the 31st and 42nd will pull back two for Vision Sport of Bamenda to put the score at 3-2 at break time.
Upon resumption of the first half, substitute Raygeen Parole Abena will set the tone at the 47th minute with an additional goal for Canon. Jacqueline Carole Nsi will then make it five for the Yaounde team at the 76th to clinch the very essential three points for day one at full time.
While waiting for the rest of the results of day one fixtures, Canon girls have taken a comfortable lead of the Women’s league Table.
