Indomitable lions draw against Ghana in second group match
Cameroon’s indomitable lions have recorded a 0-0 draw against Ghana in their second group match outing at the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt, moving on to 4points.
From the start to the end of the match, both teams tussled to get a win against their opponent but unfortunately for them, their defence walls proved tougher to break through.
During the first 15 minutes, Ghana seemed to threaten Cameroon’s defence with her indecisive passes but gradually, the indomitable lions took over, putting in place tactical dispensations which failed to pay off.
The lions continued to mount pressure on Ghana but found it difficult to break through their defence walls as they all ended the first half on a 0 draw.
Upon resuming, Ghana began to show higher fits, but squandered a lot of goal scoring opportunities with undisciplined shots.
After a well-coordinated play style, Christian Bassogog misses to open score for Cameroon with a shot that is stopped by Ghana’s goalkeeper.
Coach Clarence finally makes some substitutions, letting in Captain Choupo Moting and Stephane Bahoken, but unfortunately nothing changes to the score as the match ends on a 0-0 draw.
For now, Cameroon conserves her top position in group F with four points followed by Ghana with 2.
