2019 WWC: It is not over yet for indomitable lionesses
Cameroon’s indomitable lionesses are still left with a chance to right the wrongs of their first two matches in order to qualify for round 16 in the ongoing FIFA women’s world cup in France.
The qualification of the 4 best third teams of the six group stages for round 16 creates an opportunity for the lionesses to make their way in.
The girls of Alain Djeumfa will play their last group stage match against their third group opponent, New Zealand Thursday June 20 at the stade de la Mosson in Monpellier.
If they wish to go further in the competition, they must widely prove stronger than New Zealand, which has the same ambitions and positions herself as the 19th best nation in FIFA ranking, and then, the lionesses will move to the next stage.
Coach Alain Djeumfa is poised on giving the girls the necessary training and tactics they need to right their wrongs in the upcoming match. On Monday, they held a training session at the association sportive de Fabregues after which they took part in a self-critic sitting.
