Aboudi Onguene, the epitome of dribbles
Well known for her abilities to dribble adversaries all through the field in her swift and tactical game style, Aboudi Onguene is one of the lionesses on whom Cameroon could count for present and future successes.
Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene was born on February 25, 1989 in Douala, Cameroon. She currently plays for ZFK CSKA Moscow in the Russian Championship and the Cameroon women’s football team.
Aboudi makes her debut in football with Godicam club Yabassi, Douala. In 2005, she joins Canon of Yaounde and that marked the beginning of a successful career.
As a member of the Cameroonian national team, she represented Cameroon at the 2012 Summer Olympics, scoring the team’s lone goal in the tournament.
She played for Cameroon at the 2015 FIFA World Cup in Canada. She was voted best player at the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations hosted by Cameroon.
During the 2016 and 2017 CAF awards editions, she is classified second best African female footballer behind the Nigerien Asisat Oshoala.
As concerns this year’s women world cup in France, Aboudi Onguene will have to give her utmost best for her Cameroonian football lovers.
