NATIONAL INTERPOOLS 2022: VICTORIA UNITED, AIGLE OF MOUNGO PICK ELITE TWO TICKETS

Victoria United and Aigle Royal of the Moungo have both qualified for the national division two championship, after making it pass the semis – this Thursday, September 22.

Victoria United representing the south west region, scrambled pass NGV via a two – one score line at the Limbe Omnisport stadium. A collosal mistake from goalkeeper Thubeau Emmanuel meant Victoria United took an early lead courtesy Ashu Cerezo at the 2nd minute. Desire Kanou doubled the advantage for Victoria United at the 47th minute, to the delight of the over 6 thousand fans in attendance.

NGV halved deficit with seven minutes to the end of the encounter, after some lovely work eventually finished by Nana Wilfried, for his 6th goal of the tournament. 2-1 it ended.

The late kick-off saw Hilltop Strikers gulp defeat against Aigle of Moungo.

Aigle scored two first half goals as the match looked won and lost in the first 45.

Zachee Yomba Bwe’s sculpture and Maurice Beboum’s converted penalty was enough to send Aigle to the Elite Two Championship.

The finals of the competition will be played on Sunday 24, with both Aigle of Moungo and Victoria United already qualified.
