Cameroon won the finals of the 2019 U-17 African Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon after defeating Guinea during penalty shootouts at the National stadium in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

The match opposing Cameroon’s Bab lions to Guinea appeared to be a rather tough onz, as both teams went through 94 minutes play without a single goal scored.

They finally went in for penalty shoot outs and the lions emerged victorious.

They benefitted from Guinea’s substitute Mohamed Socka’s penalty removed by their goal keeper Manfred Ekou and defeated Guinea 5goals to 3.
As such, winning their second title as U-17 Afcon champions, 16years after the first victory in 2003.

Added to this win, Steve Mvoue has been designated as best player  of the 2019 U-17 African Cup of Nations.

The U-17 lions together with Guinea and defeated semi finalists Angola and Nigeria will in November represent AF at the 2019 World Cup in Brazil.
