UNIFFAC 2021: U-17 LIONS FINISH SECOND BLOCK-TRAINING UNDEFEATED

The cadet national team of Cameroon, who are gearing up for this year’s UNIFFAC tournament, have rounded off their second block-training undefeated.

Out of five friendlies played so far, coach Anicet MBARGA FOE’s squad won four and drew one, scoring a total of seventeen goals without conceding.
The latest fixture held on Monday 1st February 2021 in Mbankomo against TAD Sport Academy, marked the denouement of the team’s second camp in Yaounde.
NONGOH Samuel opened scores for the Lions on Monday, followed by TALING FOUODJOUM’s strike. There would be scintillating drama as TAD’s aim for a turnaround met with resistance and hard luck.
After trading off a litany of glaring chances, JEMEA LIKANJO SOPPO finally sealed it for the green-red-yellows. The victory has reasserted the Cadet Lions’ scoring form since a disappointing goalless draw with Kadji Sport Academy.
Reacting after the game, coach Anicet MBARGA FOE said, “I am satisfied because looking at our last game, we played a goalless draw against Kadji Sport Academy. We explained to our players what went wrong and what was well done. With TAD Sport Academy, we wanted to make it better, and if we scored three goals, we have to be satisfied”.
One last training session organized this Tuesday morning at the Omnisport Annex Stadium No. 2, officially concluded the twelve-day camp.
