CHAN 2018: “We don't negotiate with discipline" Cameroon's coach Rigobert Song
24 players of the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon have begun training in Yaounde ahead of the 2018 Africa Nations Championship - CHAN scheduled for Morocco next January and February.
Prior to the start, the team held a meeting with the players and staff in attendance. Chairing the sitting, the team's coach Rigobert Song called for discipline to be the watchword, for there is no victory in disorder.
For Song, "no late coming will be tolerated, be it in the restaurant or departure hour for training. No phones in both spaces. We don’t negotiate with discipline".
Meanwhile effective training has started with many sessions programmed in the evenings. This is to begin getting used to night games as will be the case of the team's first game in the competition against Congo. This far only Cotonsport of Garoua's Souleymanou Moussa is absent from camp.
Cameroon will play in group D of the competition alongside Congo, Angola and Burkina Faso.
