AFCON : U20 Lions" A melting pot of emerging football talent"
From the qualifying phase to the tournament in Zambia, the Cameroon U20 team has evolved from a selection, to a team and now to a family.
The 21 lads are a strong representation of what Cameroon has an emerging talent, drafted from celebrated clubs like Cotonsport of Garoua to unlike clubs of the regional championships and football training centres.
The policy of the Cameroon Football Federation towards the U20 team has been to give pride of place to home talent without however shutting the doors on talent from abroad. Players from Europe and the United States are among the twenty one present in Zambia.
After four months of intense preparations, the team has become a homogenous with no difference between players from higher or lower leagues , from Cameroon or abroad.
Galvanised by the triumph of the senior team at the 31 st Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, the junior team is Hoping to get into their shoes with the same determination and character.
This is possible, for the boys seem to be in high spirit,enjoying every bit of the Zambian experience.Arriving exactly a week to their first game,adapting to the weather hasn't been a problem as they now wait to make this football moment,the best moment.
