The president of the Cameroon Football Federation Tombi a Roko Sidiki accompanied by some close aides is in Rwanda for the 4th African Nations Championship that opens this Saturday in Kigali. The FECAFOOT boss today visited the Lions` den in Huye, to convey to the players his expectations and encourage them as they prepare for their first game on Sunday against Angola.
Speaking during the meeting, Tombi a Roko declared, ’we have confidence in your group, we offered you enough time to prepare and we got good spurring partners for you. It is time for you to prove to Cameroonians that we were right to give you such attention.’
On their part, the acting director of top notch sports in the ministry of sports and physical education, Pierre Edmond Banga and the Roving ambassador for sports Albert Roger Milla gave words of encouragement to the young lions, calling on them to make the country proud again by lifting a Pan African trophy which has been eluding Cameroon`s company since 2002. The visibly happy players pledged their will to conquer the continent, happy with the presence of their ‘president’ in the midst in a meeting that ended with the singing of the national anthem.
